Barr. I. G. Aniche Esq.

Aniche, Ifeanyichukwu Godfrey was born in Odoakpu in Onitsha on August 2, 1958. He hails from Ideato North local government area of Imo state.

He attended Bishop Shanahan College Orlu where he obtained his Senior School secondary certificate in 1985.

He obtained a Teachers Grade II Certificate in 1979 before he proceeded to the University of Nigeria, Nusukka, where he bagged B.A (Hons) in law.

From 1995 to 2002, he attended Imo State University where he obtained his LL.B (Hons), and He was accepted into the Nigerian Law School, Abuja in 2002.

He was called to bar by the Body of Benchers in 2004, after graduating from law school in 2003.

Before taking up the mantle to serve in Imsu as the acting registrar, Aniche Ifeanyichukwu had worked, serve and done his best as a platoon leader during the National Youth Service Corp in kwara.

He was also a Corper Liaison Officer and a Community Development Inspector in Kogi local government area, Kwara state, now Kogi state.

His journey in Imo State University began in 1988, as an Administrative Assistant in the Students Affairs Department.

Later, he became the Administrative Officer (Pioneer College Officer)in the college of Medicine and Health Sciences.

He was later appointed the Assistant Registrar, Senior Assistant Registrar and Principal Assistant Registrar from 1992 to 2002. In 2002, he was appointed the Principal Assistant Registrar, Secretary, School of Post Graduate studies.

He was made the secretary in Outreach and Consultancy Services (OCS) immediately after serving in the Post graduate schools from August 2003 to August 2005.

He also served as a Principal Assistant Registrar, Establishments from 2005 to November 2005.

Again, he was Principal Assistant Registrar/Deputy Registrar but this time he served in the Examinations and Records department before he became an Interim Acting Registrar from July to August 2009.

And from August to date he is the Acting Registrar.

His hobbies include; reading literature, Biography and History, Listening to music and watching soccer.

 

His services to the university committees are:

• Secretary, Committee on IMSU strategic Plan submitted to NUC
• Secretary, committee on the review of Academic Regulations
• Secretary, committee on the establishments of Centre for Entrepreneurship
• Member, staff Audit committee
• Chairman, committee on the allegation of misconduct leveled against some staff of the university, amongst others.

• Apostolic Blessing, His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI - 2009.
